This is a reported issue with no current solution. You may be able to workaround this issue by using the Run as Administrator option in Windows Vista when launching ACT!, by right-clicking on the ACT! icon and selecting Run as Administrator from the dialog box.
To set the Act! program to always run as an administrator follow these steps:
- Right click the Act! icon and select Properties.
- Select the Compatibility tab.
- Enable the Run this program as an administrator option.
- Click OK to save and close the window.
- Launch Act! as normal.
