Cause: This issue is caused by User Account Control in Microsoft Windows
- Close Act!
- Locate your Act! program icon on your computer's Desktop or Start menu
- Right-click on the icon and select Properties
- Under the Compatibility tab, check the box for "Run this program as an administrator"
- Click Apply, then click OK to save
- Open Act! to test issue
