Question: Can I send email campaigns from my own domain using Act! Marketing Automation?
Answer:
If you own a private domain (for example info@yourbusinesname.com or similar), your Act! Marketing Automation account can be configured to allow you to send from it.
In order to do this the platform needs to have a (DKIM) DomainKeys Identified Mail record created for your business.
DKIM lets an organization take responsibility for a message that is in transit. The organization is a handler of the message, either as its originator or as an intermediary. Their reputation is the basis for evaluating whether to trust the message for further handling, such as delivery. This allows the receiver to check that an email that claims to have come from a specific domain was actually authorized by the owner of that domain.
So then, in order to send Act! Marketing Automation email campaigns from your own domain, you need to have a DKIM record created by Swiftpage identifying you as a trustworthy sender. To set this up, please see the Related Information section below.
