Our email infrastructure is changing and users will no longer be able to send email from free inbox providers (e.g. @gmail.com) through SPE/AEM.
Product Family: Swiftpage emarketing, Act! emarketing
In preparation for this change on December 6th 2018 our recommendation is to use a custom domain. This is the preferred choice as it also improves brand recognition and credibility for your business. After you have purchased a custom domain you will need to update SPE/AEM to send via your new domain.
How do I change my from or sending email address for Swiftpage emarketing?
How do I use the Act! emarketing Sender Profile feature?
If you continue to send from your existing domain. All email from free inbox provider domains will be automatically overwritten with @spsend.com
In either case, you should take the following actions:
- Notify your ACTIVE recipient list that your email will be coming from a new domain. Consider adding this as a header or footer on your marketing messages until the change goes into effect. Avoid sending this notification to users that are not already receiving email. Sending email to an old or unengaged list can generate excessive spam complaints or hard bounces which can severely damage your sender reputation, and may result in suspension of service.
- Update any web forms or other opt-in sources to reflect the change for new subscribers.
