How do I use the Act! Migration Wizard?
When using the Act! Migration Wizard, you will be prompted to provide connection details in order to access your Salesforce database. This article advises exactly what connection information is required, and how to access this information in Salesforce.
Connection Information Required:
- Username - The user name you use to access your Salesforce database.
- Password - The password you use to access your Salesforce database.
- Security Token - After logging into Salesforce, go to (Your Name) -> My Settings -> Personal -> Reset My Security Token. Click the button that says Reset Security Token. You will receive an email with your new Security Token. It will look like a random string of characters (e.g.: dqaBCDdAM25plcGXFCENNWxY). - Use Sandbox - Check this if you are connecting to a Sandbox instance of your company's Salesforce data. If you aren't sure, leave this unchecked.
