Attempting to open a Sage ACT! database, you receive the following error:
"This database cannot be opened because the SQL Server version of this database cannot be identified."
Product Family: Sage ACT!
Product: Sage ACT! Pro, Sage ACT! Premium
This can occur when the database has become corrupted. If you are able to open the Sage ACT! Demo database to verify that the Microsoft SQL Server installation is functioning correctly, the only known resolution is to restore a backup of the database.
- Restore a backup using the Restore As option.
- Open database.
