When opening ACT! the software appears to hang and can show as not responding. This occurs if ACT! is set to open on the Welcome Page.

This issue is caused by restricted internet access. You can resolve this by granting access to the following links:
If you are unsure how to grant access please refer this to internal IT support. As a workaround, you can rename the Home folder so the Welcome Page is not displayed.
- Ensure ACT! is closed > right-click the ACT! icon from the Windows desktop > Properties > Shortcut > Find Target.
- Right-click the Home folder > Rename > type OldHome > press enter > close this window.
- Open ACT!.
The software no longer hangs and the following error appears 'Navigation to the web page was cancelled'
Alternatively you can turn the Welcome Page off from within ACT!.
- Tools > Preferences > Startup > change the Startup view to a different module > restart ACT!.
Note: The same issue occurs if you navigate to the Welcome Page
