You are attempting to import an Excel spreadsheet into your Sage ACT! database and receive the following error message:
"Excel error. Access to path (file to path to Excel file) is denied"
Product Family: Sage ACT!
Product: Sage ACT! Pro, Sage ACT! Premium
Third Party: Microsoft Excel
This can occur when Sage ACT! does not have access to the file path containing the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet being imported. It is being blocked by User Account Control (UAC).
You can resolve this issue by running Sage ACT! using the Run as administrator option.
- Close Sage ACT!
- Right-click on the Sage ACT! icon
- Select Run as administrator
- Attempt import
