You filter a Calendar view to display the activities for a specific User (or All Users) or to display certain activity types and/or priorities. However, when you close your ACT! database, and then re-open it, you find that the desired filter settings do not retained.
This is a known issue.
Calendar views can be filtered for specific Users, activity Types and Priorities. In addition you can elect whether to display Private or Cleared activities. Issues with persistent filtering differ with the different filters. See the appropriate section below:
Filtering Users:
Filter settings for specific Users are not currently retained when the Filter Calendar dialog box is invoked by clicking the View menu, and then clicking Filter Calendar --or-- when you right-click in a Calendar view, and then click Filter Calendar from the shortcut menu.
You can work around this issue by using the Select Users
button at the top of the calendar view and filter users via the
Select Users dialog box (as illustrated below).

Filter settings for Activity Types do not persist when the Filter Calendar dialog box is invoked by clicking the View menu, and then clicking Filter Calendar --or-- when you right-click in a Calendar view, and then click Filter Calendar from the shortcut menu.
You can work around this issue by using the Types:
filter option on a Calendar button bar.

Types settings will persist after setting the filter in this way.
