Question: How do Notifications Work in Act! Companion?

When using the mobile app Act! Companion it is possible to configure Notifications. These can be configured within the Settings section of Act! Companion and include options for:
- Upcoming Activities
- New Contacts
- New Opportunities
You are free to choose which of these options you would like to enable in order to receive the appropriate Notifications.
Once enabled, new Notifications will be received on your device every 15 minutes starting at 2 minutes past the hour. So following that on logically, you will also receive notifications at 17, 32, and 47 minutes past the hour.
What this means in practice is that at the above times mentioned, Act! Companion will check for any new Contacts and Opportunities since the previous check. For example, for the 10:32am check, Act! Companion will notify you of any new Contacts and Opportunities created between 10:17am and 10:32am.
With regards to Activities, Act! Companion will notify you of any tasks that will be starting within the next 15 minutes of the current check. For example, if you have an Activity due to begin at 11:00am, when the 10:47am scheduled check is performed, you will receive a Notification for it.
