- Landing page type: Page Designer
Answer:
If you want to create a Page Designer landing page to be iframed onto your site or used as a landing page link in an email campaign, you can easily create a branded form using our drag and drop editor.
To begin, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Act! Marketing Automation, then click the Templates menu item.
- Click the Actions dropdown and select New Template.
- From the pop up, select Blank Landing Page Drag & Drop from within the All Templates tab, then click Continue.
- On the next setup page, give your template a name. Once done, click Save.
- You will now be taken to the drag and drop editor. Here, you can edit your template which will serve as your landing page skin. We recommend keeping it simple but branded, so adding things like a branded background color and company logo are some examples.
- Once you have your template edited, next insert a single column row into your template where you would want the questions from your landing page to appear.
- Next, add a text content block to this row.
- Remove the default text in the block, then to add in the merge tag that will populate your landing page questions, click the Merge Tags button in the grey text editor and select the {Form} merge tag. You will see this merge tag now added to your template and this is where your questions will appear once this template is associated to a landing page.
- Once you have finished editing the template, click the Save button.
- And finally, to make this template available to landing pages, click the Actions dropdown and select Publish. In the pop up, confirm by clicking the Publish button.
Now, when you go to create a new or edit an existing landing page, to associate this template to a landing page as a skin, in the landing page properties for a Page Designer type landing page, you will see a dropdown to select a skin. All custom created and published skins will appear below the dashed line.
