If you receive this message each time you start Windows:
When ACT! was installed, the Windows Startup folder was selected as the location to install the program shortcut icons into, instead of the default ACT! program group. When ACT! program shortcut items are in the Startup folder, they are executed each time Windows starts.
Follow the steps below to remove the Uninstall item from your Startup group and resolve this issue:
- Click the Windows Start button, point to (All) Programs, and then point to Startup (folder). The items in your Startup group appear.
- Right-click the Uninstall item, and then click Delete from the shortcut menu.
- Click Yes to verify deleting the shortcut. You can remove the other unwanted shortcut items from the Startup group the same way.
If the Uninstall item does not appear in this list. Use the Windows Search function to search for all Startup folders on your system. Double-click each Startup folder to examine the contents and remove the ACT! Uninstall item from the Startup group.
