When you create a new address field in an ACT! 2006 or above database, a total of seven fields are created. For example, adding a field named "Vacation" as an Address data type field will create the following fields:
- Vacation Address 1
- Vacation Address 2
- Vacation Address 3
- Vacation City
- Vacation Country
- Vacation State
- Vacation ZIP Code
- Click the Tools menu, and then click Define Fields. The Define Fields - Create, edit or delete fields dialog box appears:
- Click Create new field. The Define Fields - Enter field name and type dialog box appears
- Enter a Field name (Example: Vacation), click the Field data type drop-down arrow, and then clickAddress from the list. (as illustrated above)
- Click Finish. A Saving progress indicator appears as the fields are added to your database.
There are now seven new fields in your database: Vacation Address 1, Vacation Address 2, Vacation Address 3, Vacation City, Vacation State, Vacation Country and Vacation ZIP Code. For detailed information, please refer to the following Knowledge Base document:
