You have noticed that the Act! Scheduler is not started and you are not able to manually start it because it is not listed in the Service console. Attempting to start the scheduler gives error: "Act! Scheduler service is unavailable. Please install the service to run Scheduler".

This issue can occur due to missing registry keys or a damaged installation
Missing registry keys
Follow the steps below to replace the missing registry keys:
- Click your Windows® Start button, either click Run or go to the Search box, and type regedit. The Windows registry editor window will open.
- Make a backup of the Windows registry per the instructions in the follow Knowledgebase article:

- Click the ACT_Scheduler_Registry_Keys.bat file in the File Attachments section near the bottom of this article.
- Note: For Act! versions 2013 (v15) and later use the ACT_Scheduler_Registry_Keys2013_higher.bat file.
Note: If the above steps do not work, it will be necessary to uninstall and reinstall Act!.
