When I launch Act!, I receive the Error: "SQL Database Service is Not Started"

This error will be presented if the Microsoft SQL Server service is not running. Use the following steps to start the service:
- Restart the Microsoft SQL Server service by following the steps in the following knowledgebase article:

- Attempt to access your database again to test
If you are using an anti-virus software, it may prevent the Microsoft SQL Server service from starting which will prevent the database from opening. For exceptions to add to the anti-virus software, please review the following article:
