Symptom: When I edit a template or try to mail merge in Act! I get the Error: “Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED))”.

Cause: This can occur if you simply need to reboot your computer. Alternatively, this can happen if the Microsoft office global template (Normal.dot or Normal.dotm) is damaged or if you upgraded your version of Microsoft Office but not all components of the previous version were properly removed during the installation, this can cause Act! to try to use the incorrect components.
Solution:
Reboot your computer
You may be able to resolve the issue by a simple reboot. Reboot your computer, then test editing a template in Act!. If unsucessful, proceed to the next section.
Damaged Office Normal.dot or Normal.dotm templates
You may be able to resolve this issue by renaming the Normal.dot (Office 2003) or Normal.dotm (Office 2007 and later) files and forcing Word to recreate them. Before proceeding with these steps, ensure that Word, Outlook, and Act! are all closed. Follow the steps below:
