This issue can occur due to Microsoft Windows permissions.
Set Act! to run as Administrator by following the steps below:
- Close Act!, then navigate to the desktop
- Right-click the Act! icon, then choose Run as administrator
- If prompted, click Allow
- Launch Act! and attempt to view the Company History again
