Accessing profiles and remembering pages
Note: Once remembered, the page will be remembered for all users who access the database, however, available information may differ from user to user depending on the page owner’s privacy settings and whether they are friends with or connected to your database users.
Switching accounts
Since the Social Updates tab is powered by Internet Explorer, it is necessary to log out of your Facebook and/or LinkedIn account, then login to a different account if you decide to use a different account to interact with your customers. This can be done from within the pages displayed in the Social Updates tab, or by launching an Internet Explorer browser window, navigating to the desired social media page, logging out of the original account, then logging into your new account.
Removing the association
There is no setting that removes the association and sets it back to default, however, you can browse to a different profile using each respective site’s search bar and click Remember This Page to associate a different page with the Act! contact.

- Login to your Act! database and navigate to the Detail View of a contact whose LinkedIn or Facebook profile you wish to view
- Click the Social Updates tab, then click either LinkedIn or Facebook, depending on which social media profile you wish to view for the contact
Note: You may be prompted to login to your Facebook or LinkedIn account if you do not already have Internet Explorer configured to remember your login. If so, use the login page to login before proceeding to step 3
- Click the contact that matches in the search results shown in the tab to bring up their profile
- After verifying the correct profile, click the Remember this page button to save the page so that when you return to the tab in the future it automatically opens
- If desired, repeat the same process for the social media site you did not select in step 2
