Error: "An I/O exception occurred while copying the data from the item to its destination. Type: Xceed.FileSystem.DiskFile" when attempting to create an Act! remote database or backup
You are attempting to create a remote database or perform a database backup when you receive the following error message:
"An I/O exception occurred while copying the data from the item to its destination. Type: Xceed.FileSystem.DiskFile"
The problem is most likely low disk space on the C:\ drive. If
you only have a few hundred megabytes, this will not be sufficient space. Act! requires
enough room on the default hard drive to store the necessary temporary files while
creating and packaging the remote database.
To resolve this issue, free up more space on the C:\ drive. First attempts could
be to clean out temporary files and to empty the recycle bin.
The amount of disk space necessary depends on the relative size of the publisher
database (including the size of your supplemental files folder, which includes attachments)
and the amount of data being packaged into the remote database.
