After updating my installation of Act!, I try to open my database and receive the Message:
"The database you are opening must be updated to a newer version of Act!. (This may take several minutes.) Before updating the database, ensure a recent backup is available. Would you like to back up this database now?
Warning: Backups taken with this version of Act! cannot be restored to a previous version. To restore this backup to a previous version, contact Technical Support (www.act.com/support). "

This message is will appear when the installation of Act! has been updated but the database you're trying to open has not been updated.
You can continue with opening the database on the workstation, but will need to address other computers that access this same database and ensure they are all on the same build. This also applies to any workstations that have remote databases.
- Confirm workstation build of Act! (select Help, select About ACT!)
- Confirm server build for Act!
- If workstation build is higher than server build, apply appropriate service pack or hot fix to server.
