When opening Act! I receive the error "Parameter is not valid". After clicking through this error I login to my database, but only see a blank screen within the program frame and cannot open my database.

This issue can be caused by a damaged Microsoft Windows user account.
This issue can be resolved by logging into Windows under a different or new Administrator profile:
- Log out of Windows
- Either log in under a different existing Administrator account, or create a new Administrator account in Windows and log in under that
- Open Act! and login to your database to test
