You are attempting to import an Excel spreadsheet into your Act! database and receive the following error message:
"Excel error. Access to path (file to path to Excel file) is denied"

Third Party: Microsoft Excel
This can occur when ACT! does not have access to the file path containing the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet being imported. It is being blocked by User Account Control (UAC).
You can resolve this issue by running ACT! using the Run as administrator option.
- Close ACT!
- Right-click on the ACT! icon
- Select Run as administrator
- Attempt import
