Question: How do I change the default email address that Outlook opens with when sending to an Act! Contact?

To change the default Outlook email address that opens when sending to an Act! contact, you must change the default Data File within Outlook. See below for instructions:
- In Outlook go to File
- Select the Info tab
- Click Account Settings > Account Settings
- Select the Data Files tab
- Select the file for the account you want to use for the Act! contacts
- Click Set as Default
- Restart Outlook
Please note that email accounts setup as IMAP cannot be made the default Data File in Act! versions prior to Act! v19
