The Reset Database Preferences option allows you to reset database specific preferences and can be done either globally or selectively. Resetting the preferences will revert them back to the program defaults established when you first created the database, allowing you to potentially resolve database issues. To reset your database preferences, refer to the steps below:

- On your keyboard, press the Windows Key + R to bring up the Run dialog
- In the Run dialog, type actdiag, then press Enter
- Read the disclaimer, then click OK
- Click Databases > Database Details List (or Database List)
- Click the gray box to the left of the database you wish to reset the database preferences for to select it
- Click the Actions menu, then select Reset Database Preferences
- Place a check mark next to any of the preferences you wish to reset, or if you want to reset all of them, place a check mark next to Reset All Preferences
- Click OK
