Does the Act! Premium Contact Link work with 64-bit Outlook?
Will it work with multiple Outlook/Office 365 accounts?
Setting up the Act! Premium Contact link is account specific. If you have multiple Outlook/Office 365 accounts you would like to use it with, you will need to perform the setup on each account. These can all point to the same database. Bear in mind that when inputting the Act! username as part of the setup, any history recorded will be recorded as that user.
Do I have to manually attach each email to the relevant contacts?
Yes. Each email will need to be individually attached, as they cannot be attached automatically
What date is recorded to history when attaching the email?
The history’s date will read as the date and time that you attached the history, rather than the date and time found on the email you are attaching. However, the email that has been attached will give you the date and time the email was recieved. If desired, you can edit the date and time of a History after it has been recorded
Will this work with a shared inbox, for example, a Customer Service inbox shared by multiple users?
Yes. It would be necessary for your domain administrator to enable the Act! Premium Contact Link Add-in for the shared Outlook account, then each individual Act! user who shares the inbox would need to open Outlook on their own computers, navigate to the appropriate inbox, select any email in the inbox, click Act! Premium Contact Link in the preview pane, then enter their own Act! credentials to connect it to their Act! user.
What versions of Act! can the Act! Premium Contact Link be used with?
The Act! Premium Contact link can only be used with Act! Premium v18 (access via web) and later. If you are using Act! Premium v18.2 or later, you can also use it by installing and configuring the Act! Connect Link on your database server or the computer where the database physically resides.
What versions of Microsoft Outlook are compatible with the Act! Premium Contact Link?
The Act! Premium Contact Link will work with Microsoft Outlook 2013 and 2016 and later for Windows, as well as Outlook for Mac v15.31 and later.

Users do not need to be administrators, but if they aren’t and you’re using the Act! Premium Web API (Not the Act! Connect Link), they must be given the “Web API Access” permission in manage users.
If a sender is a new member of a company that already exists in Act!, will the contact for that new user be automatically added to the company?
The new Contact will not be automatically linked to the existing company. It would be necessary to link the contact to the company once the contact has been created
Will the Act! Premium Contact Link synchronize my Act! calendar items to Office 365/Outlook?
The Act! Premium Contact link feature allows you to work with your contacts in Outlook, but not with the calendar. As with previous versions, desktop installations of Act! will allow you to sync your calendar with the default Outlook profile of desktop installations of Outlook.
