When installing Act!, I receive the Error: “Cannot install Act to this location as it is a compressed file”.

This can be due to a Windows feature that compresses the files on your hard drive.
Confirm if your hard drive or a specific folder is using NTFS compression in Windows.

To display encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color
- Press the Windows Key + E to open Windows Explorer
- Right-click Local Disk (C:), then select Properties
- In the Properties window, verify whether the option to Compress this drive to save disk space is ticked
- If ticked, disable this option
- Attempt to install Act!
Note: If the option is not enabled, it is likely there is a specific folder on your drive that is compressed. It will be necessary to decompress it before you can install Act!.
