Answer:
Social blocks will allow you to insert social media icons that link to the social media pages that you manage so that your viewers can know where to follow you. Additionally, Social blocks can be used to insert social share links that can be associated with any URL, allowing your viewers to easily click or tap to share the URL associated with the social share link.
Adding a Social block to a template
Before you can start adding social links in your template, you need to add a Social content block to a row in the template. To do this:
- From the Templates screen in Act! Marketing Automation, open the template you wish to add social links to
- If you do not already have a row you’d like to add social links to, add one. For information about adding and managing
rows, refer to the following knowledgebase article:
How to add, edit and remove rows using the Drag & Drop template editor in Act! Marketing Automation
- If not already selected, on the right-hand side of the editor, click the Content tab
- From the Content tab, click and drag the Social content block over the template layout
Note: A thick blue line with the words “Drag it here” will appear when you have dragged it over a place where you are able to drop it.
- Drop the Social content block in the desired row
- Click the Save button
Once you’ve added the Social content block, you will need to associate links to your social media pages to the social media icons. You may also find that the default options do not suit your needs and that you need to add and/or remove social media platforms from the social block. For more information, refer to the “Editing social content properties and block options” section of this article.
