Three Act! Marketing Automation servers are currently available to support customers in different regions. At point of sale, we provision a customer’s AMA account on the correct server for their region. To use this account, they must also have the correct regional version of Act! installed. This is because each regional install has a default AMA server it looks to, as shown below:
In the vast majority of cases these regions will match, and no changes will be required. If however a customer needs to install a regional version of Act! which does not match the region of their AMA account, the path to the AMA server may need to be manually changed. An example would be a US customer with some users based in the UK, who wants to use the same AMA account globally. In this case, we would need to change the UK regional installs to look at the US AMA Server which their AMA account exists on.
The steps to change this path are detailed below:

The steps to change this path are detailed below:
- Within Windows Explorer, browse to the installation directory for Act! (normally C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows)
- Locate the Act!.exe.config file, and open it using notepad or a similar text editor.
- Under the <appsettings> section, add the config value below depending on the AMA server required:
AMA Server Region Config Value to Add US <add key="AMA_TARGET" value="https://app.swiftpage.marketing/" /> UK <add key="AMA_TARGET" value="https://appeu.swiftpage.marketing/" /> European Frankfurt <add key="AMA_TARGET" value="https://appeuc1.swiftpage.marketing/" /> Australia <add key="AMA_TARGET" value="https://appau.swiftpage.marketing/" />
Note: If this value does not exist, Act! uses the default AMA server for its region.
- Save and close the file, then restart Act! for the changes to take effect.
