Symptom:
You are attempting to create your Act! database and receive the error:
"Could not find stored procedure 'master.dbo.PRC_ACT_ACTIVE_DATABASE'"..

Version: 2012 and later
Solution:
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- UNTICK the "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" option. To do this, go to Start > Type Control Panel > Region (in large or small icons view) > Administrative > Change System Locale
- Check if Act! has been installed by going to Start > Type Control Panel > Programs and Features (in large or small icons view). If Act! DOES appear in the list, uninstall it.

Once these steps have been completed, try reinstalling Act!.
